Rainwater filter
There are rainwater filters from WISY for all fields of application: for the downpipe, for installation in the ground, in the rainwater tank or as a free-standing version.
With the WISY filter principle, the water is directed to the side, while entrained particles simply fall down. Continuously, WISY rainwater filters clean themselves with a very high degree of efficiency. Find out below how we manage to do this.
Below you will find our rainwater filters. Feel free to take a look around!

All WISY rainwater filters

The secret of the always clean WISY rainwater filter
WISY rainwater filters have a vertical, i.e. perpendicular, filter mesh. Leaves, moss or other solids simply fall past it and are washed away with a small amount of residual water. In fact, by a natural effect, we change the direction of flow of water without deflecting or stopping particles and pollutants.
WISY rainwater filters do not collect dirt and the filter fabric cannot become clogged. This is the decisive advantage over filters with a slanted filter fabric or a filter basket.
High-performance rainwater filters
Convince yourself of the high performance: all WISY rainwater filters - whether downpipe, cistern or vortex fine filters - rely on this vertical filter mesh.
The rainwater is efficiently filtered by the filter insert with fine stainless steel mesh with a mesh size of only 0.28 mm and passed on to the cistern.
In this way, leaves, moss and smaller particles washed along with the water are reliably separated, permanently washed down the filter mesh and then transported into the sewer or an infiltration trough.

Low maintenance and easy to clean
All WISY rainwater filters are particularly low-maintenance and only need to be inspected 2-3 times a year. If cleaning is necessary, the filter insert can be easily removed from the housing and cleaned in the dishwasher.
Since the filter insert is made entirely of high-quality stainless steel, it is extremely durable and only needs to be replaced after 20-25 years at the earliest. The housing material is also made of a particularly durable material for each filter.
A rainwater filter is indispensable
Rainwater filters fulfil the most important function when collecting rainwater. Only if a rainwater filter removes all coarse components in the first step can the further stages function reliably. The rainwater filter represents the first purification stage of the four-stage system for collecting and storing rainwater.
Rainwater filter safety
The open cross-section of the connected pipes is maintained throughout the rainwater filter. This means that even larger solids can pass through unhindered. Even a tennis ball flushed from the roof cannot cause a blockage in the downpipe, as the rainwater filter does not narrow.

Why does the rainwater flow sideways through a vertical filter mesh?
Water has the property of clinging to the walls of a pipe when it runs down it. The reason for this is the force of adhesion. Similar to a drop that hangs on a blade of grass without falling off or condensation that wanders under a sloping tent canvas, the direction of flow of water in the rainwater filter can thus be influenced.
We use this effect in all WISY rainwater filters to divert the rainwater sideways. In doing so, it travels through a fine-meshed mesh made of stainless steel, which filters the rainwater.
This effect does not work on solids and dirt particles. They cannot be deflected to the side and fall to the bottom. There they are washed away.
Due to the vertical arrangement, the filter fabric cannot become dirty or accumulate leaves and foliage. The rainwater filter remains continuously clean, while only filtered water reaches the cistern or back into the production process.
Rainwater filters for the downpipe
Product information
Garden rain collector
The garden rainwater collector is installed in the vertical downpipe. It filters rainwater flowing in from above before it is drained off to the side of the cistern. Due to its design, it is particularly low-maintenance: leaves, dirt and other washed-up debris fall through it and are flushed down into the drain.

Filter collector FS
The FS filter collector filters the rainwater directly in the downpipe while it is still being drained off to the side of the cistern. Its filter insert consists of fine stainless steel mesh with a mesh size of only 0.28 mm. This reliably separates leaves, moss and other washed-in debris and flushes them downwards into the receiving water.

Standpipe filter collector STFS
The standpipe filter collector is both a standpipe and a filter collector. It filters rainwater flowing in from above before it is drained off to the side of the cistern. Its filter insert consists of fine stainless steel mesh with a mesh size of only 0.28 mm. This reliably separates leaves, moss and other washed-in debris and flushes them downwards into the receiving water.

RainCatcher RC
The RainCatcher RC is installed in the vertical downpipe. It directs the rainwater flowing in from above to the side of the cistern. Due to its special design, the RainCatcher RC separates coarse soiling such as leaves or moss and flushes them through the downpipe directly into the drain or soakaway. The collected rainwater is very suitable for garden irrigation.

Rain collector RS
The RS rainwater collector is installed in the vertical downpipe. It filters the rainwater flowing in from above before it drains it off to the side of the cistern. Leaves, moss and other debris are separated by the rain collector and flushed downwards into the receiving water.

Cistern filter
Product information
Cistern filter LineAr 100
The Linear 100 cistern filter is ideal as a rainwater filter for cisterns - whether in new buildings or for retrofitting. It is easy to install thanks to its well thought-out design and does not require any additional earthworks.
There is only a good five centimetres between the inlet of the rainwater and the outlet for the dirt load. Due to this small height offset, the LineAr Filter 100 can be easily integrated into an existing pipe run. It can even be placed directly in the cistern without affecting the slope of the pipe.

Vortex fine filter
Product information
Vortex Fine Filter WFF 100
The WFF 100 vortex fine filter is usually installed in the horizontal rainwater pipe in the ground in front of the cistern. However, it is also suitable for free-standing installation, in which case it is best fixed with the optionally available wall fastening.
Rainwater flowing in from the side is filtered by the WFF 100 vortex fine filter and passed on to the cistern. In the process, it passes through the filter insert made of fine stainless steel mesh with a mesh size of only 0.28 mm. In this way, not only leaves and moss, but also smaller particles washed along with the water are reliably separated and flushed into the canal or an infiltration trough.

Vortex Fine Filter WFF 150
The WFF 150 vortex fine filter is usually installed below ground level in the horizontal water pipe. It filters the rainwater flowing in from the side and directs it laterally to the cistern.
Its filter insert consists of fine stainless steel mesh with a mesh size of only 0.28 mm. This reliably separates leaves, moss and other washed-in debris and also flushes them laterally into the receiving water. A coarser mesh size of 0.44 mm is also available as an option, as well as free-standing installation with the wall mountings available as accessories.

Vortex Fine Filter WFF 300
The WFF 300 is a rainwater filter suitable for installation in the ground or for outdoor installation (e.g. for industrial use). Its trafficability has been tested according to ATV and, depending on the cover design, it can be driven over by vehicles with a total weight of up to 60 tonnes.
The housing is made of polypropylene and the filter insert is made of stainless steel. The mesh size of the filter fabric is 0.38 mm. We recommend an annual cleaning interval of 2-3 basic cleanings per year.

Vortex Fine Filter WFF 300 VA
The WISY rainwater and industrial vortex fine filter WFF 300 VA is made entirely of stainless steel. Due to the unique arrangement of the filter fabric, it has a high self-cleaning effect and can therefore be operated almost continuously without having to interrupt the process cyclically.
It is designed for pressureless flowing media and can be used wherever filtering or concentration of solids in liquids is required.
The housing is made of polypropylene and the filter insert is made of stainless steel. The mesh size of the filter fabric is 0.38 mm. An annual cleaning interval of 2-3 basic cleanings per year is recommended by us.
