The OPTIMA PLUS rainwater unit combines all the components required for operation in a single unit. It enables the water to be pumped from the rainwater storage tank over long conveying distances and large delivery heads and feeds it into the rainwater pipe network under pressure.

Controls the entire rainwater system, checks the level of the storage tank and, if necessary, automatically ensures drinking water replenishment within the wall-mounted unit.

Up to 97 % more economical in standby than other rainwater units

The controls of many rainwater units have a power consumption of up to 15 watts in standby mode , which accounts for most of the energy required for rainwater utilisation. With the efficient ZETA 02 pump controller, developed in cooperation with the Technical University of Central Hesse, the standby consumption is reduced to less than 0.2 wat ts. This means energy savings of up to 97 % compared to conventional rainwater units. The ZETA 02 is included as standard in the OPTIMA PLUS rainwater units.

Uninterruptible water supply

During a longer dry period , the system automatically switches to drinking water mode, with the float switch in the cistern serving as a sensor . If necessary, the OPTIMA PLUS can also be switched manually to drinking water mode. In addition, a small intermediate storage tank in the rainwater unit ensures an uninterrupted water supply in the rainwater pipe network at all times.

Pump logic and flow rate

The OPTIMA PLUS has two pumps: a powerful submersible pump in the cistern and a centrifugal pump in the rainwater unit. Depending on the operating mode, only one of the two is running at any one time. In rainwater mode, the submersible pump in the cistern delivers up to 60 litres per minute to the tapping points, while the pump in the rainwater unit is at rest to avoid noise pollution in the house. The powerful submersible pump also enables use with longer supply lines between the cistern and rainwater unit, with distances of more than 25 m being possible. Only in make-upmode does the submersible pump in the cistern switch off and the centrifugal pump in the wall-mounted unit of the rainwater unit takes over.
