Our WFF 300 VA rainwater and industrial vortex fine filters are made of stainless steel. Due to the unique arrangement of the filter fabric, they have a high self-cleaning effect and can therefore be operated almost continuously without having to interrupt the process cyclically.
They are designed for pressureless flowing media and can be used wherever filtering or concentration of solids in liquids is required.
Capacity
The filter is designed for a flow velocity of up to 1.6 m/s. The nominal flow rate is 13 litres per second, resulting in 90 % filtered water and 10 % residual and rinsing water. The rinsing water is used to clean the screen and to continuously remove the solids.
The maximum flow rate is 80.6 litres per second.
Housing
The housing of the WFF 300 VA vortex fine filter consists of an upper and a lower part. This allows the direction between the liquid inlet and filtrate outlet to be adjusted in 15° steps. Flange connections according to DIN are provided for the pipe connection. The housing and filter insert are made of V2A stainless steel as standard. For conditions suitable for foodstuffs or for acidic media, a version made of V4A is possible.
Cover
The cover is made of the same stainless steel as the housing. It is optionally leak-proof up to a pressure of 1.5 or 6 bar. Despite its heavy weight of 150 kg, the lid of the 6 bar version can be easily operated with one hand thanks to the integrated gas struts.
Filter insert
The filter insert made of stainless steel has a mesh width of 0.38 mm in the standard version; other widths are possible as special designs. Particles larger than the mesh size are carried downwards by the rinsing water to the outlet.
For special applications with e.g. abrasive solids, the filter insert can be coated with titanium nitride. This increases the service life and material strength.

Powerful water filter
Convince yourself of the high performance of the WISY vortex fine filters: The rainwater flowing in from the side is efficiently filtered by the filter insert made of fine stainless steel mesh with a mesh size of only 0.38 mm and passed on to the outlet.
In this way, particles washed along with the water are reliably separated, permanently washed down the filter mesh and then carried on by a small amount of residual water so that no particles remain in the filter housing.
Water use in industry
When water is used in industrial processes, it often mixes with solid components. Due to the process or in order to save valuable resources, the two media are later separated. Efficient filtration is of great importance here. Long service lives are required so as not to interrupt production unnecessarily.

Continuous industrial filter
Our industrial filters called Vortex Stainless are made entirely of stainless steel. Due to the unique arrangement of the filter fabric, they can be operated continuously without having to interrupt the process cyclically. They are designed for unpressurised flowing water or comparable media.
Advantages of Wisy filtering
The inner diameter of the connected pipelines is maintained for the particle flow through the entire filter unit. Unintentional backflow due to constrictions is therefore excluded.
The solid particles fall downwards through the filter, while the filtrate is discharged laterally through the cylindrical filter screen. A small amount of liquid remains with the particles and if it flows away, the filter cleans itself.
The filter unit uses the water flow and thus works completely self-sufficiently in terms of energy.

No backlog
Unwanted backflow is prevented by permanent inner diameter.
Energy self-sufficient
Use of water flow for energy-autonomous work.

Capacity
The filter is designed for a flow velocity of up to 1.6 m/s. The nominal flow rate is 13 litres per second, resulting in 90 % filtered water and 10 % flushing water. The rinse water is used for the continuous removal of solids. The maximum flow rate is 80.6 litres per second. This achieves a filtration rate of about 50 %. Further values can be seen in the diagram opposite.

Housing
The housing of the Vortex 300 Stainless consists of an upper part and a lower part. This allows the direction between inlet and outlet to be varied. Flange connections according to DIN are provided for the pipe connection.
The housing and filter insert are made of V2A stainless steel as standard. For harsh conditions, increased corrosion resistance is possible by using V4A.

Cover
The lid is made of the same stainless steel as the case. It is optionally waterproof up to a pressure of 1.5 or 6 bar. The 6-bar version of the Vortex 300 Stainless can be operated with one hand thanks to the integrated gas struts.
Filter element
The stainless steel filter insert has a mesh size of 0.38µm as standard. Larger particles are flushed downwards to the outlet by the residual water. Finer mesh sizes from 180µm are available.
For particularly rough applications with abrasive solids, the filter insert can be coated with titanium nitride. This additionally increases the material strength.
