The basic version of the concrete cistern is a monolithic cistern made of high-quality concrete of class C35/45 in accordance with EN 206-1, which is impermeable to water and particularly stable. It was specially developed for rainwater utilisation and is characterised by its robust construction and easy handling. With a wall thickness of 9-12 cm and a base thickness of 12 cm, it fulfils the highest quality requirements. The pre-assembled cone is already connected to the base tank so that no additional concrete work is required (except for volumes over 9300 litres).
Features of the concrete cistern
- Three integrated RDS sockets DN 100:
- Inlet (position can be flexibly selected),
- Technical connection,
- drain.
- Covers for various load classes:
- Class A (5.0 tonnes): Included.
- Optional:
- Class B (12.5 tonnes): Weight approx. 110 kg.
- Class D (40 tonnes): Weight approx. 185 kg.
- Levelling rings: For raising the cistern (10 cm available).
- Core drillings as required: Optionally DN 100 or DN 150, incl. Forsheda sealing element (specify position when ordering).
Delivery and installation
The cistern is delivered nationwide (mainland), including 30 minutes crane unloading. The delivery time is usually less than 8 days (for customised products on request). The lorry (approx. 10 m long, 3 m wide, 4 m high, 30 t total weight) requires a paved access road at least 3.5 m wide and a working area of 9 x 11 m.
If it is not possible for the lorry-mounted crane to move the paving (e.g. due to restricted access or insufficient working space), the cistern will be set down at ground level as close as possible. Additional costs for additional manoeuvring or waiting times (€ 25.00 plus VAT per 15 minutes or part thereof) shall be borne by the customer. We cannot guarantee that the cistern will be placed in the excavation pit.
Excavation pit and assembly
- Size requirements for the excavation pit: The diameter of the pit should be approx. 1.5 m larger than the diameter of the cistern (depending on the soil conditions).
- Substrate preparation: A 10 cm high sand or gravel bed must be compacted before the cistern is installed.
- Note the load: The load capacity according to the technical data must be observed.
- Cone installation for large volumes: Cisterns with a usable volume of over 9300 litres require the cone to be grouted on site. Two labourers and mortar of mortar group M10 (according to DIN EN 998-2) are required.
Groundwater protection
If the maximum groundwater level rises above half the height of the cistern pot, the cistern must be secured against buoyancy. An external wall with integrated groundwater protection is available on request.
Receipt of goods
On delivery, the goods must be checked for visible defects. If the cistern or delivery conditions do not correspond to the order, acceptance must be refused. By signing the delivery note, the customer agrees to the delivery and the lifting times.
