Cellar tank for indoor installation
also for garage, shed or barn
The basement tank for rainwater is a plastic cistern that can be installed above ground for use in frost-free indoor areas, typically in the basement. It is suitable for storing service water from rainwater harvesting and is available in various volume sizes and two colour variants (black or light grey).
Made of robust, opaque polyethylene (LLD-PE), the tank is corrosion-free, dimensionally stable and designed for permanent use inside buildings. The design allows space-saving installation on a level surface - for example in utility rooms, plant rooms or basements.
The tanks do not have any prefabricated connection openings at the factory. The positioning of the connections can therefore be customised on site to suit specific requirements. Suitable connection techniques include bulkhead fittings, rubber lip seals or welded-in nozzles. Optionally available accessories enable the modular combination of several containers to form a complete system (battery position).
All tapping points must be labelled as "no drinking water" in accordance with DIN 1988 Part 2. The installation room must be level, stable, frost-free and well ventilated. There should also be a floor drain so that maintenance work can be carried out safely.
The cellar tanks are available in various sizes from 140 to 4,000 litres. A detailed technical overview can be found in the respective subsections of the product page.
