Range of application
The SIGURA 9 break tank separates the taps for service water from the public mains water. The mains water feed is designed as a free outlet in accordance with DIN EN 1717 and DIN 1988-100. The SIGURA 9 break tank shall be installed in a frost-free room. It takes mains water and feeds it into the service water network at a pressure of 4.4 bar. It is suitable as a pressure boosting system for buildings with up to three storeys. It is mandatory for irrigation, washing and watering systems, as well as for all other applications that may not be connected directly to the mains water network.
Energy-efficient design
The Sigura 9 break tanks works with reliable and proven components. Thanks to the Zeta 02 automatic switch, the break tank is particularly economical. It operates with less than 0.2 Watt power consumption in standby mode and is thus 97% more economical during standby mode than conventional break tanks.
Functionality
When the valve of a consumption station (e.g. sprinkler system) is opened, the pressure in the pipe network drops. If it falls below 1.5 bar, the pump of the break tank starts and supplies the connected consumers with water. When all valves at the consumers are closed again, the pump builds up the operating pressure again and automatically switches off.
Max. 66 litres of mains water can be replenished per minute. The mains water feed tank has a volume of 9 litres and is equipped with an emergency overflow (DN 70) for additional safety. A pressure gauge in the SIGURA 9's viewing window indicates the respective line pressure in the service water network with which the break tank operates. If there is a complete lack of water, the dry-running protection integrated in the automatic switch switches off the pump inside the SIGURA 9 break tank.
