Use of 2x vortex fine filter WFF 150
Object data
Calden, Germany | 1998
The farm of Georg and Beate Tolle in Calden-Fürstenwald in Hesse is managed ecologically. Therefore, it was a matter of course for them to build a 20 m³ underground cistern when they rebuilt the stable building in 1998. The rainwater from the 800 m² roof area is collected in this cistern. For each half of the roof, a DN 150 base pipe leads to the rainwater storage tank. A WFF 150 vortex fine filter made by WISY AG is installed in each main. The dirt is reliably separated from the usable water, so that cleaning of the cistern is not necessary.
The rainwater is used for watering livestock, cleaning animals and equipment, and flushing toilets. The state of Hesse contributed to the costs for rainwater utilisation amounting to almost € 13,000 with funds from the groundwater levy. The rainwater from the building remains completely on the property. What is not used runs over into an underground infiltration trench.
