The floating suction fine filters are suitable for water that has not been pre-filtered, for example from open waters, rivers, lakes, ponds or wells. The fine filters have a mesh size of only 0.3 mm. Versions with a non-return valve for suction pumps or without a non-return valve for submersible pressure pumps are available.
The optionally integrated non-return valve prevents the hose from running dry when connected to a suction pump. The floating ball is made of environmentally compatible polyethylene, while all other parts are made of stainless steel .
The nozzles on the floating filters are rounded to protect the hose. Even with frequent up and down movement of the floating ball, the hose remains permanently fully functional. The nozzles also have a bead to securely fasten the hose.
Note for floating filters with integrated non return valve: The highly flexible hose cannot hold pressure. It can only be used with suction pumps that are controlled by an automatic switch with non-return valve ! If the system has an expansion vessels that is only controlled by a pressure switch, then the pressure contained in the expansion vessel will extend into the highly flexible suction hose. For that situation it is not suitable! If this applies for your system, please use our Suction and pressure hose instead of the highly flexible hose.
