Project information
At lake Constance, there is an abundance of drinking water. The lake is Europe's largest drinking water reservoir. Nevertheless, the Kramer family saves water, not out of necessity, but out of conviction. Family Kramer decided to include a Rainwater Harvesting system when they build their new house in 2003.

Project information
The hose is connected to the pressure line of the rainwater system in an underground "watersocket". The Kramer family uses the water from the roof to flush the toilet and for the washing machine, because the soft water saves on detergent. When the rainwater storage tank overflows, the water that continues to flow seeps into the garden. This forms groundwater and relieves the sewage system.
Maintenance is simple, an inspection twice a year is enough, and when necessary it is easy to clean the filter insert in the household dishwasher. That is all.
