Object data

Gammertingen, Germany | 2000

Hohenzollerische Landesbahn AG operates a private railway in the south-east of Baden-Württemberg. In Gammertingen on the Swabian Alb, work has begun on the construction of a new facility for the rail vehicles. For the regular cleaning of the vehicles, a washing facility has already been built on the premises, which uses rainwater.

Since the year 2000, most of the water needed has been provided by rainwater. It flows from the roofs of the new storage and maintenance building via a filter shaft into the storage tank. The required amount of water is automatically pumped into the wash water treatment plant. This saves mains water and avoids excess rainwater.
