Project information
The club facility consists of a clubhouse, nine tennis courts (sand), a ball wall and a playground for children. As early as 1994, the club TC Friedberg e.V. decided to switch the irrigation of the playing fields from mains water to rainwater. The company Schmitz Grünbau from Schöneck, which in the same year had also equipped the tennis club Europabad Marbach in Marburg and the riding club Eberbach in the Odenwald with a complete rainwater harvesting system, was awarded the contract.

Project information
WISY filter collectors were used on five downpipes. An underground cistern made of concrete manhole rings, the collection line from the downpipes to the cistern, the overflow line to an inspection shaft and the suction line to the pump station in the club's garden house were also part of the design. The roof of the clubhouse with an area of approx. 250 m² serves as the collection area. The cistern has a capacity of 9 m³. The cost of the system including additional work on the building was DM 21,579.00 excluding VAT.
Special features
Mains water substituted by rainwater:
150 - 200 m³ mains water per court per year, for all 9 tennis courts this is up to 1,800 m³/year.
